  1. What is the Site Log Viewer?
    This is an application developed by CDDIS for the enhanced display and comparison of the contents of the site logs.
  2. How do I use the Site Log Viewer?
    First, select a site log type. GNSS, SLR, and DORIS site logs are available now; VLBI will be available soon. Second, select the "View complete site logs" for one site or "Query site logs" to view one section of a the logs for multiple sites. Once a selection has been made a button labeled 'Show' will appear. Click on that button and see the results of your query. Whichever path you take a 'New Query' button is available to start the query over again.
  3. What does 'View complete site logs' do?
    This opens up an enhanced display of the site log for one site. The enhanced view shows an image of the site if available. A map showing the geographic location and a formatted table of each section of the log. Users can quickly browse through the various sections.
  4. What does 'Query site logs' do?
    This allows the user to browse data for one section of a site log record across all site logs. For example if you are looking for all sites that are in Germany, you could select '2. Site Location Information' for your section. Then a selection menu will appear labelled 'Select Field' for this example select 'Country', then from the 'Select Value' menu pick 'Germany'.
  5. Can I save the resulting table from my above defined query?
    Yes, in the results page for a 'Examine one section for all site logs' query, there is a button labelled 'Get CSV', clicking this will prompt you to save a comma separated value (csv) file of the query results. The file can be opened in a spreadsheet, allowing more detailed analysis of any of the data the user requires.
  6. Are there any browser compatibility issues?
    The only issue some users have noticed is with Internet Explorer 9 on Windows. The application has been tested successfully on Windows using IE 10 and Firefox.
